1. Find a newspaper and give it to your child. It doesn't have to be a recent one.

2. Now, here's the real learning step. Ask your child the following about the newspaper

What is the main headline?

How many pages in the paper?

Name all the colours on (say) page 3

On page 3, write down 5 words starting with a "d"

Copy any ad

Write down the names and surnames of any 3 people mentioned in the paper

On what page is (say) the weather summary?

An effective child learning activity teaches kids a number of learning skills at the same time.

Not only does this learning activity do this, but it also uses the skills to copy a true learning situation.
